Description
Fernando de Noronha is an island situated off the
Northeast coast of Brazil. It's considered by many as one of the most
beautiful places in the country. Both the island and the sea around it are part of a National Park and therefore a limited
number of people are allowed on the island at one time. Apart from the stunning
scenery, beautiful beaches and clear waters there is also a large variety
of underwater life, such as colourful reef fish and even large pods of dolphins
that live around the island. Above the surface the island is used by birds
as a stop-over and nesting site.

Activities
To best explore
Fernando de Noronha and see all the beauty underwater
you need to either snorkel or dive. Walking around the island and relaxing on
the incredible beaches are also must-activities. Surfing is also very good
from February to July, while diving is better from August to January.
Accommodation
There is a Hotel on the island and a few Pousadas*.
Some are luxurious pousadas and others very simple but comfortable. As Fernando de Noronha is far
from the mainland, the preservation of the natural resources, such as water
is very important.
