HOTELS

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Rio de Janeiro

Arrival in the Airport of Rio and transfer to your hotel. Rest of day free.

Meals Included: none

Day 2 – Rio de Janeiro

Full day tour of Rio. Ride to the top of Corcovado Mountain by train. Panoramic view of the city. Tijuca Forest, it's exuberance and beauty. Visit to Taunay Falls in Tijuca Forest. Drive by Barra da Tijuca and southern Rio Beaches.  Lunch at typical Brazilian barbecue place.

Visit to the Metropolitan cathedral and sightseeing of the architectonic monuments of Rio. Pass by the Maracanã Soccer Stadium, returning by the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Go up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, viewing the city from the suspended Cable Car.

Meals Included: breakfast at hotel and lunch during the tour.

Optional Tour - At night, don't miss the opportunity to see a Samba Show, on the tour Rio by night.

Day 3 - Rio de Janeiro

Day free to explore Rio.

You can relax in one of the famous beaches (Copacabana, Ipanema, etc), do some shopping or join another tour.

Meals Included: breakfast

Optional Tours - Angra dos Reis, Ilha Grande, Petropolis, Tropical Islands (full day tours).

Day 4 – Rio / Manaus

Transfer to airport for flight to Manaus. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of day free to explore Manaus.

Optional Tours  - City tour

Day 5 – Manaus / Jungle Lodge

In the morning, transfer to the Jungle Lodge by regional boat.

Tours during your stay in the jungle depend on the Jungle Lodge chosen.

Normally its included: a sunrise tour. guided walks in the Amazon forest, a visit to a native village and house,  piranha fishing, observation of "botos " (fresh water dolphins), visit to a fluvial beach, alligator spotting and boat rides among the creeks.
Meals Included: breakfast in Manaus, lunch and dinner in the Jungle Lodge.

Day 6 - Jungle Lodge

Local tours as described on Day 5.

Meals Included: full board

Day 7 - Jungle Lodge

Local tours as described on Day 5.

Meals Included: full board

Day 8 - Jungle Lodge - Salvador

Transfer from the Jungle to Manaus and flight to Salvador. Arrival and transfer to your Hotel. Rest of day free.

Meals Included: breakfast

Day 9 - Salvador

Historical city tour of Salvador, visiting among many other attractions, the Pelourinho, pointed by the UNESCO as the most important colonial complex of the XVII and XVIII centuries still existing in the world, and the famous Market Modelo.

Optional Tours - Folklore show with typical performances of candomble, maculele and capoeira.

Day 10 - Salvador

Full day tour to Itaparica, cruising the waters of the Bay of All Saints.

Meals Included: breakfast and lunch (during the tour)

Day 11 - Salvador

Day free.

Meals Included: breakfast

Optional Tours - a Tour to Praia do Forte or to Cachoeira (full day tours)

Day 12 - Salvador Airport

Transfer to the Airport of Salvador.

Meals included in the program are detailed in the following chart.

Accommodation:

Double rooms can have separate beds or not. A third person depending on the hotel has the possibility of using a sofa bed. Consult for children policy.  

Payment:

Deposit of 30% to guarantee your reservation. The remaining amount must be paid a minimum 30 days before start of the tour. If reservation is made within 30 days of the tour full payment required to make a reservation.   

Cancellation:

Up to 30 days before full refund is given unless the flight tickets have been emitted. In this case there will be a penalty due to the cancellation of the tickets. This depends on the rules of the airline used.  No refund is given when a cancellation is made within 30 days of departure.  

Operation of tour:

Minimum of 1 pax to operate. 

Responsability:

Brasil Travel / Melchior & Hodson Ltda and/or agencies involved with the packages, flights and tours shall act only as agents of the tour members in making arrangements for hotels and any other services and do not assume any liability what so ever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to persons or property due to an act of God, default by any hotel, company or person rendering any of services included on the tours or flights. Furthermore, no responsability is accepted for quarentine, government restrains, weather or other causes beyond control. No responsability is accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of government authority.
