Mount Sajama (6,520m) is Bolivia’s highest peak. Although it is not as well known as Illimani or Illampu, the Sajama is one of the most beautiful mountains of Latin America. Located just a few miles from the Chilean border, this glacier covered volcano offers us countless touristic possibilities. Our acclimatization period takes place in the National Parks of the Chile’s Norte Grande Region, where we will be able to admire the wonders of the altiplano: salt lakes, natural hot springs, and snow caped volcanoes, where lamas, vicuñas, nandus and vizcachas can be photographed. Finally, the snowy slopes of Mt.Sajama (6,520m) welcome us with all the humility they teach us... |
