Description

The National Park of Lençóis Maranhenses is located in the Northeast of Brazil, in the state of Maranhão. The landscape resembles a desert, with dunes up to 40 meters high and beautiful green and blue lagoons making up an incredible scenery. Rivers complete the 155 thousand hectares of this tropical oasis. The dunes are formed by the constant winds that blow from the sea. The lagoons are the result of the rains in the area, and are the perfect place for a refreshing swim.

Activities

The contact with nature is present at all times. You can swim, walk on the dunes, watch incredible sunsets and go on boat rides in the river. The landscape is unique, resulting in amazing pictures. Also the contact with the local population in the remote communities will be a different experience.
